At a funeral for his grandmother, a college student shared memories of her as part of the service.
He ended by admitting that he hadn’t been to see her in the last six months.
“Just couldn’t,” he said. “All the things I’ve told you about her, that’s who she was. Not what’s lying here in that casket. Not who she became at the end. It’s like she was dead before she was dead.”
I think I know what he meant, don’t you?
