We’ve been thinking together for several days about hearing God’s voice. To do that, we have to pay attention. We have to listen. … Hear that?  

“Listen.” That’s how St. Benedict begins his lengthy advice on spiritual growth. This one word is the posture he prescribes: “Listen.” No matter where or how you worship our Lord this weekend, my hope and prayer is that you’ll join me in taking time to follow his advice. “Listen.”  

“Your servant is listening,” Samuel says to God in 1st Samuel 3:10. Right there’s a pretty good prayer for me today, how about you? “Your servant is listening.”
