A Cup of Insipid Coffee, Please. Said No One. Ever.

April 15, 2016

“The noun enthusiasm comes from the Greek word enthousiasmos,

from enthous, meaning ‘possessed by a god, inspired.’

What’s that word again?

Was it insipid or inspired?

Quick reminder: insipid is just a dressed up way of saying something’s boring. Or bland. Or even lukewarm, like coffee that’s sat too long. As in Christ’s comment to some followers in Revelation 3:16 that because they’re lukewarm he’s going to “spit them out.” This is not good.

So, which which would you rather be today, insipid or inspired?

By the grace of God, let’s go with inspired.

Please.

I am going with inspired. I hate insipid coffee so much that I am on my second coffee cup warmer — I wear them out. I like HOT coffee and I like mine to stay that way all day. You have touched on a sensitive points these days, where can I find a warmer for me (and since I can’t bear to be hot physically) one that sits right under the heart/soul?!
