Wait? For How Long?
“Wait for the Lord,” says Psalm 27:14.
Easy to say. Not easy to do.
In fact, sometimes that directive seems impossible. I’ve wanted to toss another Psalm in God’s face: “How long, O Lord?!” (Psalm 13:1)
Maybe you’ve asked that question, too. “How long, O Lord?!”
Fr. Jonathan Morris made me hit the brakes with this: “The Lord is not a God of quick fixes and fifteen-minute spiritual oil changes, but a God of long-term and indeed eternal promises.”

Injury: January 24th – great pain. March 23 – Neurologist who has had file since second week in February, will finally see me! How long? Not that I am inpatient, just hurting.
