“Where your attention goes,” he said, “your attention flows.”
I heard Jack Canfield say that in a presentation at The Hyland Center in St. Louis decades ago.
It still resonates with reality: “Where your attention goes, your energy flows.”
Long before that, someone else said, “Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?”
That’s God speaking in Isaiah 43.
Somewhere in between those two came a song —
Yesterdays are over my shoulder
So I can’t look back for too long
There’s just too much to see waiting in front of me
And I know that I just can’t go wrong
— Roll those three thoughts together and join me in looking ahead to what’s next.
But first, let’s look around, since God says, “It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it?”
