Fifteen years ago today I started my humble blog.
A line from a seminal Pink Floyd album, asking the question that is my title here today, was the point those fifteen years ago.
I wondered that then. I wonder that now.
It’s a sheer delight to hear from someone that they enjoyed/appreciated these…and no less rewarding, though different, when they tell me they’re aggravated by something they read here.
Given the algorithm and all that, suffice it to say I’m grateful anybody notices anything about my “Fresh-Brewed Daily Devotional” thoughts.
Especially now, fifteen years later. So much has changed: you, me, culture, politics, church, the world…where you wanna stop that list? We could on with quite a long one.
Once upon a time, when I was in what we then called Junior High, a man named Howard Lange told me what he called an old German proverb —
Not everything that’s new is good
And not everything that’s good is new.
— The older I get the better I understand that.
At least I hope I do.
And I hope you and I can continue to meet here like this.
As always, I look forward to hearing from you anytime.
Let’s keep going, and let’s keep growing.
Together.
