Let the Butterflies Remind You

With gratitude to the Native American Heritage site —-

You do not have to explain your healing
to people who never carried your pain.
Keep walking.
Keep your eyes forward.

Let the wind take what is not yours.
Old blame.
Old shame.
Old voices that tried to shrink you
into something easier to control.

Change is not betrayal.
Growth is not disrespect.
Sometimes the most honorable thing
is to leave what is harmful
without making a scene.

Carry your softness like medicine.
Carry your boundaries like a shield.
You can be kind
and still say no.
You can forgive
and still choose distance.

If your heart is tired,
rest without quitting.
If your spirit is restless,
move without rushing.
The right path does not always feel easy,
but it feels honest.

Let the butterflies remind you.
Transformation is sacred work.
What you become
should make your ancestors proud
and your children feel safe.

Walk on.
Not with anger,
but with purpose.
Not with fear,
but with dignity.
