“Today, a period of silence is called for.
“The question, ‘What have we done to ourselves in this society, in our larger culture, that lying and self-deception seem to rule?’
“For those of us who know about ‘Epiphany’ this is sobering. What took place last January 6, and all that led up to it, is a complete subversion of Light and Justice. The Star of Light was obscured by a Death Star.
“I am taking some time today to repent of my own complicities (silence, lack of courage….) that aided and abetted this inversion of Epiphany.
“But also: by the light of the Star, wise ones–great and small– are still bringing their gifts of truth for the sake of the world.”
