Free to Do What?
What a verse! And no, I’m not making up the title of this translation; it’s genuine —
Christ has freed us
so that we may enjoy
the benefits of freedom.
— Galatians 5:1, The Names of God Bible
Here’s the first of two things in Galatians 5:1 that are screaming at me —
Christ has freed us
so that
we may enjoy
— I’m as guilty as anyone else of missing the we may enjoy part of our salvation.
For a lotta reasons.
Today, what would happen if we’d get serious about profoundly enjoying the freedom Christ has given us?
Let’s find out.
After all, Christ has freed us so that we may enjoy the benefits of freedom, right?
