A recent online conversation with a friend (thank you, Steve) sent me to a song written by Charles Wesley —

An int’rest in the Savior’s blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain—
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
— Those two middle lines say so much, asking in utter amazement:
Died He for me,who caused His pain —
For me, who Him to death pursued?
That screams what’s in my heart and head today. Anybody else?
