A real life friend and colleague who’s a retired District Superintendent in our denomination wrote this earlier today:

Today I am convicted of all the time I spent in my life on such insignificant things in ministry in the American Church.

From Nominations to Credentialing, to Statistical reporting, to Charge Conferences, to Denominational battles, etc.

Today pastors in Venezuela are doing without food to feed the children in their communities.

In Nigeria a pastor and his family are facing death.

In India this week 230 Christians will be martyred for the faith.

God forgive me.

And God forgive our church which has lost its way.

Restore us to again be faithful to the King of Kings.
