I’m Having a Moment Here

Today would have been my mom’s birthday.

Still trying to get used to seeing that last line on this —

— There’s a Bible passage that summarized her well. You have people you can name to whom this applies also: I’ve run hard right to the finish, believed all the way. All that’s left now is the shouting—God’s applause! Depend on it, God’s an honest judge who’ll do right not only by me, but by everyone eager for his coming. (2nd Timothy 4:7,8, the Message version)

And then there’s this for all the rest of us: There’s a day coming when God will wipe away every tear from our eyes, and on that day death shall be no more, neither shall there be any sadness, nor crying, nor pain, for all these things will have passed away. Behold, I make everything new! (Revelation 21:4,5, the RDSV)
