Joy does not
simply happen to us.
We have to choose joy
and keep choosing it
every day.
— Henri Nouwen wrote that.
You and I have the chance to do that today.
We can choose joy. Yes, we can.
And we can keep choosing it. Yes, we really can.
The writer of our New Testament book of James would agree, saying, I count it all joy.
