Checked the Weather Yet? — part 3
As we plan what to wear based on the weather at the start of this new work week, some of us need to pray this prayer written by Dietrich Bonhoeffer —
O God, early in the morning I cry to you.
Help me to pray
And to concentrate my thoughts on you:
I cannot do this alone.
In me there is darkness,
But with you there is light;
I am lonely, but you do not leave me;
I am feeble in heart, but with you there is help;
I am restless, but with you there is peace.
In me there is bitterness, but with you there is patience.
Especially this next line:
I do not understand your ways
I sure don’t.
I sure have a few questions.
Okay, so have more than a few.
Like a warehouse full of unanswered questions. And they’re coming with me into this new week.
Anybody else?
