HOLY: Constricting or Expanding?
“In order for us to let Jesus be Jesus, we must make room in his life, and in our own, for a broader range of emotions and actions in our working definition of HOLY.”
I was having coffee with a colleague about a month ago and she recommended a book. God’s using it in powerful ways this Lenten season, not the least of which is challenging my assumptions.
Alicia Britt Chloe wrote the sentence I opened with above on page 75 of 40 Days of Decrease: A Different Kind of Fast. She goes on, of course.
But for today, just let this simmer a bit: “In order for us to let Jesus be Jesus, we must make room in his life, and in our for a broader range of emotions and actions in our working definition of HOLY.”
See you back here tomorrow.
