“The Most Amazing Expression of Grace We Have”

Aha!

Seeing Lent for what it was intended to be all along is a massive help:

for the coming of Easter.

Sundays in Lent are not counted in the forty days

because each Sunday represents a ‘mini-Easter’

and the reverent spirit of Lent is tempered with

joyful anticipation of the Resurrection.”

Suddenly I’m seeing Lent as an On Ramp to Easter.

And my Lenten experience is becoming like putting my big toe in the ocean of God’s grace in general and what God has done for us in Christ in particular.

Then we can begin to experience in a fresh way this year what Mary Lou Redding challenges you and me with when she writes, “Lent leads us into the most amazing expression of grace we have, to what God has done for us in Christ.”

And suddenly my previous “Aha!” becomes a blessed “Ahhhhh.”
