Churches with Amneisa or Alzheimer’s
Friend Brennan Hurley, student at Duke Divinty School, recently quoted Dr. Warren Smith of the faculty there as saying —
“Too many churches have either amnesia, they can’t appreciate their past and their tradition, and have no example to follow, or they have Alzheimer’s, so stuck in the past that they can’t see that their present reality is so much different than it was 50 years ago.”
