Money Sunday — 18 in a series glancing back
The Finance Committee was wrapping up plans for the annual pledge campaign.
All that was left was what to call it this year.
“Doesn’t matter,” said a veteran of many of these.
We all looked at him.
“It doesn’t matter what we call it,” he went on, “it’s still just Money Sunday.”
Once we quit laughing, we knew he was right.
With one exception…and I’ll see you back here tomorrow.
