Ohhhhhh, THAT Body
Yesterday we thought together about our bodies. If you missed it, please scroll down and check it out.
Today, let’s hear St. Paul tell us that we “are the body of Christ.”
Whoa. Serious stuff.
And there’s no loophole, no easy out, no ha-ha attached: “You are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” (1st Corinthians 12:27)
How’s your part in the body of Christ doing?
Or, perhaps more accurately: how are you doing as part of the body of Christ?
Or even: are you doing your part?
Awkwardly, this applies even those of us who sometimes feel like we’re the appendix in the body of Christ.
“You are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” (1st Corinthians 12:27)
If there’s a problem in the body of Christ, maybe we’re the ones who need to shape up our part of the body of Christ.
There’s a church somewhere close that can help us with that.
Time to hit that kind of gym!
After all: “You are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” (1st Corinthians 12:27)
