“I hear ya.”
Really?
An online ad this morning tells me, “Joe, please do not ignore! Your next 2 weeks of listening.”
Really? Too many of us don’t even listen for 2 minutes.
“Your lips move, but I can’t hear what you say,” comes from a classic album entitled, and this is not a political statement, The Wall.
“Everyone should be quick to listen,” advises The New Testament in James 1:19.
Let’s you and me practice that today. Very intentionally, let’s not just hear, let’s “be quick to listen.”
Warning: it takes effort.
But the people in our lives are worth it.
