You and I Started This Five Years Ago Today

I don’t usually engage in such things, but wanna take a quick glance back today.

Five years ago today I started this humble blog.

With a stated goal of writing brief, simple, and encouraging content, I’ve been hammering away here for five years. And most days these take longer to edit than to write. So I start early.

Figuring you’d get tired of the sound of just my voice, I sometimes point you to something a friend wrote or said and graciously let me share their stuff with you. Really like doing that; feels like introducing one friend of mine to another friend of mine. Feels like pointing out stuff along the way as we travel together.

You’ve been reading and responding for five years. Some of you, for the entire five years. Thank you!

You’ve shared this with your friends. That’s gotta take courage. Thank you!

Five years.

And by the grace of God, to quote Alice Cooper, “We’ve still got a long way to go.”

Or as St. Paul wrote, may the day come when we can honestly say that we have fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. (2nd Timothy 4:7)

Again, thank you!

I’ll see you back here tomorrow.
