Must Be Nice
“Must be nice,” says a character in The Missing. She’s visiting a family member who’s dying in a British Hospice Unit.
A friend responds to her with a puzzled look.
Nodding across the lobby to where a patient is talking with a priest, she continues, “Must be nice, believing in something.”
It is.
Most days, it really is.
