Which is God’s Will?
In everything give thanks,
for this is God’s will
for you in Christ Jesus.
—1st Thessalonians 5:18
Does this verse say that everything that happens to you is God’s will for you, or that God’s will for you is to give thanks no matter what happens?

I think it is the latter.

It has to be the latter as he also gave us free will which means, to me, that I make the choices and my only choice to honor him is to give thanks no matter the outcome of my will!!!
