Apply as Needed
A friend and colleague posted an apology about working from home on a day when the weather had closed schools and businesses because of hazardous road conditions.
Oh, also, there was that issue of having a fever and being sick.
As I proofed my reply, it dawned on me that maybe more than one of us needed these words this winter:
Take care of yourself;
you’re worth the effort.
Even the effort at resting.
Or maybe
especially
the effort at resting.
Apply as needed.
