Q & A, re: all this Excellence in Education stuff and all these 5 Tips for Parents

Q: Joe, why quote these Excellence in Education Winners and their 5 Tips for Parents?

A: Because in every school we have teachers and administrators who would, could and should be named an Excellence in Education Award Winner.  In every school.  Every.

Q: So?

A: So we need to realize that.  Remember that.  Respect them.  And listen to them.

Q: What does this have to do with my Christianity?

A: Everything.  There’s an enormous trust shown to us as parents and as other family members, as friends and Sunday School Teachers, as neighbors and other “big kids” and adults…we have children in our lives, and we’re in theirs.  Let’s make it count.

Q: Yeah, but…do we really have that much influence?  Does it even matter what we do anymore?

A: Earlier this week you and I thought together here about Colossians 3:23.  That includes this.

Q: Colossians 3:23?

A: “Whatever you do, work at it wholeheartedly as though you were working for the Lord.”  As Christians, we are always working for our Lord.  And like an old song says, “Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world.”  They matter.
