We were in an Education Team meeting.
Ken had this on his t-shirt: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it.”
Maybe you recognize that quote.
It’s from that emminent philosopher and raconteur of the previous century, the late 80s’ very own Ferris Bueller. And it’s a great line.
How’s your summer going? Zooming along like your spring did? Might be a good day today to take a moment and “stop and look around.”
“Consider the lilies (and) the birds of the air” is how Jesus set up a statement about how much God cares for you. Some of us usually jomp to the end of that and focus on God’s care. But Jesus didn’t lead off with a theological profundity; Christ calls us to first notice what’s going on around us.
“Life moves pretty fast.” Today, take time to “consider.”
Don’t “miss” your own life!
