A colleague and friend’s mother died recently.
At the service celebrating her life, someone quoted a favorite saying of hers: “Your best mission field is in the passenger seat of your car.”
Maybe these days you’d substitute something like “child safety seat” and “mini van,” but her point is the same.
We don’t need to search for people to care for, they’re all around us.
We don’t need to wonder where to go to share God’s love and grace, we can start right where we are.
