Some things are never fully finished, but there comes a time to stop working on them.
My dissertation project was like that.
“Turn it in. Stop tweaking it. You’ll always see something you could improve in that book,” my advisor told me during a sidewalk conversation.
I agreed and thanked him. We shook hands and we started to turn away from each other.
“But,” he added, ” don’t stop the project, just the dissertation.”
