Appreciation for A Real Church
Several people have given me great Face to Face comments about “a working pastor in a real church” yesterday, and I thank you.
I thank The Real Church I serve as one of the pastors for a fantastic Friday and Saturday:
+ intergenerational experiences both days that were both indoors and out, and both inspirational and fun
+ people working together for outreach into the community and encouragement of one another
+ plenty of opportunities for involvement at a variety of levels.
A quick gut check for church leaders is asking if you’d go to your church even if you weren’t in a leadership position. Good question. I can honestly say Yes.
And I thank our Lord and the people who listened to God’s call and then stepped up and got the right things done to make Friday and Saturday exceptional. Y’all are blessings!
I haven’t been to one of those Intergenerational learning gatherings since the mid-1980s, Cahokia Park UMC, Pastor John Annable, a people’s pastor like you! Great memory you knocked loose (even if you wrote this last October!).
