Appreciation for A Real Church

Several people have given me great Face to Face comments about “a working pastor in a real church” yesterday, and I thank you.

I  thank The Real Church I serve as one of the pastors for a fantastic Friday and Saturday:

+ intergenerational experiences both days that were both indoors and out, and both inspirational and fun

+ people working together for outreach into the community and encouragement of one another

+ plenty of opportunities for involvement at a variety of levels.

A quick gut check for church leaders is asking if you’d go to your church even if you weren’t in a leadership position.   Good question. I can honestly say Yes.

And I thank our Lord and the people who listened to God’s call and then stepped up and got the right things done to make Friday and Saturday exceptional.  Y’all are blessings!

  1. I haven’t been to one of those Intergenerational learning gatherings since the mid-1980s, Cahokia Park UMC, Pastor John Annable, a people’s pastor like you! Great memory you knocked loose (even if you wrote this last October!).
