The Movie “Gravity” and Prayer, part 2 of 2.

October 16, 2013

I promise to give nothing away about the plot of the fabulous movie Gravity.

Yesterday I wrote here about that film having a scene in which a character says, “I’d pray for myself, but nobody ever taught me how.”

Later in the movie that same person says two words that are one of the most powerful prayers any of us can ever say: “Thank You.”

Let’s don’t wait for that Thursday holiday in late November; let’s start warming up for Thanksgiving today.

“Thank you” and then a handful of specifics is a great way to start a prayer this very moment.

For what five people or situations are you saying “Thank you” today?

See you back here tomorrow.

A year later, having FINALLY seen the movie, your words are so much more powerful than when I read them a year ago!!
