What Does This Gospel Thing Really Do, Anyway?
Once upon a time, maybe not so long ago, I was splashing and thrashing around and about to drown.
This had nothing to do with water. It had everything to do with what we euphemistically call Current Events.
Maybe you’ve been there, too.
One of the life preservers that I grabbed onto was tossed out by Rob Bell.
In his book Love Wins he writes, “What the Gospel does is confront our version of (the) story with God’s version.”
Let’s think together about this for a bit.
