Your Own Painting
“Every good painter paints what he is,” said Jackson Pollock.
He died in 1956 and said this before inclusive language was in wide usage, so let’s keep moving.
His point is clear: who we are is evident in what we do.
What kind of painting is your life producing today?
Ever evolving! I used to say (before retirement), “if you helped a kid today, then you’ve done your job well”. So now it is be kind, give a smile, say thank you, help out a friend/stranger, drop off something at good will or Catholic charities, leave a little extra tip to a waitress, etc. We all can find ways to paint our picture!
