Feeling a Little Stressed? good advice from a good cup of coffee, part 3 of 5.
The cardboard wrap-around holder for the hotel coffee cup reads, “Feeling a little stressed? Taking deep breaths allows you to inhale more oxygen and release tension.”
Genesis 2:7 gives us the image of God breathing the breath of life into us.
The Resurrected Christ breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit” in John 20:22.
There’s an old song by The Moody Blues that includes the line, “Breathe deep the gathering gloom.” I never really like that idea.
Feeling a little stressed today? Let’s not breathe the gloom.
Instead, let’s you and me breathe deep of the blessings of God’s breath of life and Spirit.
