Was She Telling the Truth?
“And our grand-daughter’s been learning Bible verses at our church’s Bible School this week. Would you like to hear one?”
Smiles and nods all around.
She stood up, cleared her throat, and announced, “Mark 16:15 — Jesus said, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gossip.'”
Close, very close. That verse actually begins, of course, with Jesus saying Go into all the world and proclaim the Gospel.
But was she telling the truth about what we do too often?
Which will you tell today, the Gospel or the gossip?

This is Sunday morning, the 17th, the verdict of a trial has come down. God can kind of shake you with the words of others. Today will the Gospel be first or will gossip be the word of today.
