Who Ya Gonna Serve?

New every morning is your love, great God of light,

and all day long you are working for good in the world.

Stir up in us desire to serve you,

to live peacefully with our neighbors,

and to devote each day to your Son,

our Savior, Jesus Christ the Lord.  Amen.

This prayer is going to have us ask God to stir up in us three desires that lead to action.

The first is the desire to serve God.

We always have a choice, as The Bible makes clear: If serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve. — Joshua 24:15, (NIV)

It’s our decision.
