A Church with Jesus in The Window
True story.
A 4 year old girl looked around during worship at our church, focused on the stained glass Christ window and announced, “I like a church with Jesus in the window!”
Let’s spend a couple of days thinking together about that, because having Jesus in the window means something. Having Jesus in the window colors how we see the world. Having Jesus in the window reminds us that as we look out at the world, Jesus is looking back in at us. Having Jesus in the window makes all the difference.
Meanwhile, I’m happy to be a pastor at that very same “church with Jesus in the window!”
That sounds like an extraordinary child!

Having Jesus in the window; is He looking in at us; is He looking out at the world? Having Jesus, sounds like going through a drive through and ordering: One Jesus, hold the onion, light of the mustard. It is fantastic to hear a child talk about Jesus. But is it valid that you sit in a church; many years have passed; and still find that Jesus in the window is less difficult then Jesus in your Heart. I seem to remember a picture of Jesus knocking at the door-the real difficult thing was realizing there was no knob on the outside. So what we did with Jesus depended entirely on us.
