What I’ve Got They Used to Call The Blues
“Rainy days and Mondays always get me down,” sang Karen Carpenter.
It happens.
Perhaps the best line of that song was one that lyricist Paul Williams intended simply as a place-holder: “What I’ve got they used to call the blues.” If that’s where you are on this rainy Monday, there’s good new for you this Easter season.
“Jesus rose from the grave to redeem all of life,” writes a Presbyterian friend, “not just our Sundays.”
Let’s ride that reminder into this new week.
Amen!
