What Do You Want to Read Next?

February 18, 2013

“Bring my scrolls, especially the parchments.”

—2nd Timothy 4:13

St. Paul was in prison, writing to a young friend he was mentoring.  He concluded that letter with a request for some specific reading materials.

What book, in addition to the Bible, do you most want to read?

Is it an old favorite, or something new?

And when will you start?

I am working on re-reading ‘A Tale of Two Cities’. I remembered how moved it was by the message when I first read it but could not remember many of the details. Dickens had a way with words!

I am in the middle of several books right now, including a variety of parenting books (I have a “tween”). The one that I would like to spend more time reading “Cutting for Stone.” it is beautifully written. I recommend it if you like character development.
