Each Word a Gift
“Speak only kind words,
each word a gift.”
— Ephesians 4:29, The Message version
The site that hosts this blog tells me that this is number 200.
Thank you, all of you who read these — you amaze amaze me with your presence and your numbers.
Thank you, all of you who comment — whether here or elsewhere online, or face to face, or with a note or a letter — you thrill me with your variety.
I hope and pray that my words have come to you as a “gift,” as Ephesians 4:29 says.
You both gift and grace me with your participation.
As in today’s text, “each (one of you is) a gift.”
Thank you, and I’ll see you back here tomorrow.
Thanks Joe,
You are a gift!!! Thanks for being a gift in my life! God bless!

I love the pile of Christmas gifts under our tree. Of course I love the huge ones, the significant ones, the ones that you remember from Christmas to Christmas – but I love the little ones, too, the silly ones, the small but incredibly thoughtful ones, the homemade ones, the ones I never knew I wanted until I unwrapped them.
All of your words here are a gift. Some give me a huge “Ah ha!” moment of insight; most are more like the little gifts that fill in around my Christmas tree: delightful, thoughtful, didn’t know that’s the very thing I wanted/needed to hear until I heard it.
Keep on keepin’ on! Words have power, and yours are a blessing.
