Between Then and Then
Again, thank you to all who’ve been sharing about your favorite Christmas lights!
Some on here (leave a comment today), some on FB (always good seeing you there), some on my cell phone (anytime) and several in person around town…great hearing from you.
This is important because part of our heritage with all this Christmas light stuff goes back to what was written long ago. What’s especially fun for us is that it comes in at least two varieties.
First, some history: “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.” New International Version (©1984) We have, because it has.
Second, a future: “The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.” New Living Translation (©2007) We will, because it shall.
And right now, you and I live between the history and the future.
We live between what happened then…and what’ll happen then.
Let your favorite Christmas lights remind you of that, right now. (And have you shared what your favorites are?)
See you back here soon.
