What’s Your Teacher Look Like?
Let’s hope this continues.
He was sitting in a doctor’s office with his brothers and a parent. My friend who saw this says he was too young to be reading and fully understanding what was in front of him, but there he sat, holding the waiting room copy of the Gideon Bible and turning pages.
One of his brothers tried to grab it away from him. “Stop that. I’m reading this Bible.”
My friend says it made her smile. When she told the rest of our small group about what she’d seen, we had a great conversation about it.
Two quick take-aways for you and me today:
1. I’m not sure I’m able “to be reading and fully understanding” the Bible either, but like him I want to keep trying, and
2. My friend who told about this is 94…and still going strong.
Lessons from two people presumably younger and older than we are…who else has something to teach us today, and will we recognize them?
Please let me know, and I’ll see you back here soon.
