Praise without Thinking
Bishop Dottie Escobedo-Frank writes, in the context of Psalm 148 —
Praise rises up in us even when we don’t think about it.
We respond with “Thank God!” and “Praise Jesus!” and “Hallelujah!”
Sometimes we don’t use religious language to praise God. We say things like, “That’s amazing!” or “How did that happen?” or “So very cool!” as ways to express our praise for good things that come our way.
Sometimes our very bodies praise God when we jump for joy, give spontaneous applause, or lift our arms to the heavens.
— There is much, so very much, in those sentences that resonates for me…you, too?
