Alexithymia
When I was in seminary, confronting and overcoming our alexithymia was an undertone in several classes, a regular part of supervised ministry experiences, and felt central to Clinical Pastoral Education.
Especially for guys.
I wonder what’s happened to us?
And not just to seminarians of a certain era, nor just one gender, nor just one group of any sort.
Unless maybe we speak only in terms of humanity. People. Real people. Regular people. Like you and me and those around us.

And how does John 11:35 fit?
And there’s that verb that opens John 3:16 and so much more….
