BONUS BLOG: weather forecast

Many are aggravated by the forecast and yearning for spring, which by the way is just about a month away.

Yet, what if we embraced the opportunity to slow down and reflect …maybe we can even imagine new ways to alleviate the needs and pains of others.

The longer nights of winter and an occasional snow day can be an invitation to draw closer to God, to those we love, and maybe even those we know we need to love and have not yet figured out how to do that.

We are being given some time to play, to rest, to pray. Let’s not waste the time grumbling about what’s coming. Let’s prepare and find the joy and beauty in the moment.

And for those who must work in the weather we pray for safe keeping.
