K.I.S.S. — part 3
NOTE: This has nothing to do with Gene or Paul or any others in a certain band, but this has everything to do with a brilliant adaptation of something I learned from my dad.
“Brevity is the soul of wit,” learned friends would say, citing Shakespeare. I would nod as if I understood.
“Less is more” became a minimalistic dictum at some point, with gratitude to the likes of Mies van der Rohe and, no doubt more than a little ironically, many others.
John Pawson‘s architectural thinking and implementation of ideas crossed my path at a very helpful time. As my-adopted-big-sister-if-I-had-one loved to remind me around that season of my life, “Empty rooms are so much easier to clean.”
Before I clutter this up any more, I’ll stop and remind you that I very much look forward to meeting you back again tomorrow.
