Your Life as a Christian Should Make Non-Believers Question their Disbelief in God

What a long, strange week it’s been.

Especially here.

You and I’ve been hammered by Bonhoeffer —

“Your life as a Christian should make non-believers question their disbelief in God.”

And as was said long before Bonhoeffer came along,

“You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world.

“God is not a secret to be kept.”

But wait, there’s more!

“We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill.”

Yup, that’s what Christ Jesus said.

He went on, “If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand.”

So what? So this: “Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine!”

All that and more is in Matthew 5.

It’s time for all that and more to be in our lives.

Ready?

Set?

That same Christ Jesus says in Matthew 28:18-20, “GO!”
