ThanksLiving Beyond WordPlay
Most of us pastor-types have tried to be clever and say something like, “It’s not about Thanks Giving. It’s about Thanks Living.”
This Day After ThanksGiving Day, a/k/a Black Friday, used to be for many an annual pilgrimage to a shopping mall or three. Extra-strength department store bags, the ones with ropey handles, would be as packed at the malls themselves.
This year, let’s you and me try something.
Today, take your attitude of gratitude and put it into action Contact someone who’s been helpful…influential…encouraging…and let them know how much you appreciate them and what they’ve done for you.
You’ll both feel better than just good.
