It used to be that people in power and politics hired poets and musicians (e.g. court singers) to help them get their word out and sculpt their image.

Now those in power hire political consultants, focus groups, PR specialists, pollsters, and influencers to shape their public face and platform.

Maybe its time to have another go at the poets and musicians?
