Carrie Berry Carnes, colleague and friend IRL, wrote and published the following a couple of day ago —
When children go to drag queen story time, they are exposed to imagination, creativity, and joy….all of which can be dangerous.
When children grow up reading books, written by people with different backgrounds and perspectives, they are exposed to new ideas and critical thinking…which can be very dangerous.
While our nation focuses protecting children from art, imagination, creativity, joy, critical thought, and new ideas …. the slaughter of school children, and those who care for them continues.
I’m more concerned with protecting our children than with protecting the status quo.
— What say ye?
